Meet Jasmine

While in college, Jasmine’s “Mom” Cheri Guerra adopted her from the New Haven, CT Animal Shelter in 1998. Jasmine was only 4 months old and every time Cheri walked by, Jasmine would get so excited it looked like she was tap dancing – so Cheri knew this was the one. The next year she adopted a “sister” Emma for her from another Animal Shelter and later that year, Cheri met her husband -- the four of them became a family.
Jasmine was in perfect health up until the last few years when she began to suffer from arthritis and liver disease. A special diet and acupuncture helped her a lot, but in November 2010 the vet found a tumor on her liver and a spot on her lung. The cost of the treatment was more than Jasmine’s family could handle so The Riedel & Cody Fund is helping them to fund her cancer care.
